Situation:

The Cefic (European Chemical Industry Council) is an association which represents the interests of chemical companies overall Europe at EU institutions with EU policy makers or other stakeholders, regardless the size of the company.

The website did not generate enough traffic due to weak organic positions. Cefic wanted to improve their natural rankings to increase traffic.

Solution:

As the website disposes over a high level authority (partially related to the .org domain), it were mostly technical and content related factors that required optimization. Knewledge conducted a technical audit to identify and solve technical issues that had a negative impact on indexation. After that keyword research was carried out and on-page factors for the concerning pages were optimized. Positions and natural were monitored.

Results:

After the implementation of all recommendations, the positions of the most important keywords increased progressively.

  • Positions increase from 15th to 2nd position,
  • Organic traffic increased by 5 times.
